Our visit to the Accademia di Belle Arti Urbino
Hey! You are about to read the blog that I, Ariëlle Kerkdijk, have experienced together with the group. This morning we had a delicious breakfast at 8:00am. The sun was shining and the birds were singing happily. We were supposed to drive to the location of today at 9:00am but we left a bit later (we are in Italy, so it’s allowed here ;)). We drove all the way to the top of the Monte Catria where we had an amazing view! After that we drove down to see a monastery. This was the Fonte Avellana Monastery which you can see from the top of the mountain. There we had the opportunity to walk and look around.
After we went to the monastery we went to buy some goodies and food in the local supermarket. When we left the supermarket, we had the chance to visit the Accademmia di Belle Arti in Urbino. The students and the professor of the sculpture department explained what their project was, Instabile. They gave us a tour of the building and showed us their work. Our visit to the academy gave us a lot of inspiration.
After a really long ride down the mountain we were back at Ca’Palazzo around 7:30pm where our dinner was waiting for us. We ate a delicious pasta meal to end the day.
This was our 2nd day in Italy.
