Aboutus
We are a group of creative students from Cibap (NL), Eduard-Spranger-Berufskolleg (DE) and University of Urbino (IT).
We will be promoting the Monte Catria and the surrounding villages for the project 'Cibap in Company'. How are we going to do that? Well, we'll be making statues in couples of two. Citalia will be staying and working at the Ca'Palazzo hotel in Pergola, Italy for two weeks. At the 30th of May we will be back in the Netherlands to work on different projects individually or in couples of two.
We are very excited and we hope you are too!
You can follow our journey and progress on this blog and of course on our social media pages.

Sculptures

For centuries, a chapel has been the place on earth witch is the closest physical approach to heaven. Therefore we found the chapel of Ca'Palazzo the best location for our sculpture. It influenced us in making the concept: we as humans can only leave as much as a footprint on earth before we leave. In this piece, our print is very transient. This makes our piece a Vinitas. But we'd like to add: the memory of one's presence is eternal. Ruth & Demi

The cave represents a hiding place to find comfort when we're sore and insecure. The interior lets us experience a safe state of mind. Feeling at home within ourselves. The holes in the cave enable you to connect to the outside world by small steps. But what you experience outside is in the eye of the beholder. Amber & Lorieke

With the open steal construction and the massive tower above, we switched heaven and earth. It is clear that the little girl, that is climbing upwards and is the real subject of the sculpture, represents our creative process. What is our main objective? Our goals? Or the struggle itself to reach them? Lynn & Arielle

We are inspired by the botanic gardens of the monastery of Fronte Avalane. Our contemporary flower emerges from the earth and strikes up to heaven. Our destiny starts as a tiny seed, and life itself is growth and development: the more we grow in ourselves, the closer we get to our own heaven. So grow! Jenny & Zareena

This is not our art. This is your art. This where you can let your imagination be free. This is the peace within you and also the adventure you want to have in life. It's up to you. This is not our art. This is your art. Let your imagination be free. Neomi & Nicolien

The fallen angel tries to return to heaven. Earthly values try to prevent this. Our angel is now the soulmate of a Phoenix. The ashes to arise from, can also be one's main fundament for development. The sculpture symbols the urge to reach a state of freedom: a flight to heaven, with one's passion as fuel. Kimberly & Tirsah

Being of Dutch origin, especially the mountains of this region inspire us highly. Every mountain has its own signature, which as a shole creates a typical landscape. With our sculpture we emphasize this drawing of nature, which is influenced by the reflections of heaven at the peacks. The rhythmic construction of Gubbio is used in the repetition in our design. Take a moment and experience 'now'. Mirte & Lisa

Our stop motion video is inspired by looking at stalagmites and stalactites. A slowly evolving connection between heaven and earth: equal but dependent on each other. We chose to make a video, which of course adds the matter of 'time' in a image. Interaction between heaven and earth is a creative and dynamic process. Above all, it's an eternal process.
